Job Summary

The Seller Fees Tech organization forms the foundation of Amazons marketplace financial ecosystem responsible for calculating processing and managing the complex fee structures that enable sellers to do business across Amazons global marketplaces. Supporting over 2MM active sellers our systems handle billions of transactions annually ensuring accurate and transparent fee calculations incentive distributions and fee adjustments for selling partners worldwide. Our work is fundamental to overall success of both selling partners and Amazon.
As the Senior Manager of Program Management for Fees Operations youll lead a team of program managers responsible for fee integrity policy enforcement monitoring escalation management and operational excellence across all global marketplaces. Youll define the long-term strategy for how we ensure fee accuracy and seller trust while building the organizational capabilities needed to scale with Amazons continued marketplace expansion. Your team will own the go-to-market testing and monitoring of critical incentive programs that drive seller engagement and selection growth. Youll also pioneer the application of GenAI technologies to drive innovations that will set new standards for operational excellence and program management. This role requires someone who can think strategically about operations at scale while remaining deeply connected to execution details and team development.


Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Navigating Ambiguity
Define and communicate the multi-year strategic roadmap (3 years) for Fees Operations program management where problems and opportunities may not yet be fully defined across global marketplaces
Use significant expertise and judgment to design the right team structure mechanisms and strategy to meet long-term business goals in an evolving fee integrity landscape
Distill diverse inputs from large customer segments (2MM sellers) and stakeholders to set a vision and achieve consensus on priorities
Demonstrate the ability to distinguish between one-way and two-way door decisions empowering your team to make two-way door decisions independently
Partner with senior leadership across Fee Integrity Fee Strategy Product Technology and Business teams to influence organizational priorities and business strategy
Identify emerging risks and opportunities in the fee integrity space translating them into actionable program strategies and establishing scalable mechanisms
Lead the development of operational frameworks and best practices that scale globally asking hard questions about what should exist and what creates blockers
Organizational Leadership (Leader of Leaders)
Design organizational structures that optimize for scale efficiency and business impact altering team structure to address emerging priorities
Build lead and mentor a team of program managers (including other managers) responsible for critical fee integrity workstreams; you are a leader of leaders
Proactively lead recruitment efforts by attracting and hiring bar-raising talent who bring needed skills and expertise to your organization setting the example for your team
Take time to grow successful senior employees and managers through collaborative development planning coaching and strategic project assignment
Identify future leaders provide challenging opportunities and facilitate their exposure to senior management
Lead by example in providing guidance on career growth conversations promotion processes and internal transfers acting as career sponsor when appropriate
Build a team that consistently delivers successfully without you and leverages you for escalations to remove blockers or influence senior leadership for resources
Foster a culture where your team uses judgment to question proposals and test assumptions to improve outcomes for selling partners and stakeholders
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across distributed teams and time zones
Program Excellence & Execution
Oversee multiple complex high-impact programs spanning fee charge accuracy monitoring systems policy enforcement and escalation management
Lead go-to-market planning for incentive program launches coordinating across Product Technology Finance Operations and Marketing teams
Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to validate incentive program functionality eligibility calculations and seller

Establish monitoring frameworks to track incentive program performance seller adoption and business impact post-launch
Drive operational excellence by establishing KPIs dashboards and mechanisms to measure program health and business impact
Partner with Fee Integrity Product Managers and Tech Leaders to translate business requirements into program execution plans
Lead critical initiatives that improve seller experience reduce defects and protect Amazons revenue
Ensure programs deliver measurable business outcomes aligned with organizational goals
Make trade-off decisions balancing short-term execution needs with long-term strategic objectives considering opportunity vs. resources vs. sustainability
Proactively identify gaps and opportunities; delegate appropriately and determine when to make a case for single-threaded owners and additional resourcing
Proactively mitigate risks before they become roadblocks escalating appropriately and communicating serious risks to leadership and senior stakeholders
Establish mechanisms to evaluate scope and priority across projects identifying where to reduce scope on one project to meet critical deliverables on others
Establish mechanisms that audit selling partner experience quality and operational performance of results produced by your teams
Enable your teams to make two-way door decisions independently while reserving one-way door decisions for senior review
Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Product Technology Operations Finance and Business teams
Influence fee strategy product roadmaps and technology investments to ensure operational considerations drive decisions that deliver solid seller experiences and business outcomes
Represent Fees Operations in senior leadership forums and strategic planning discussions
Drive alignment across multiple organizations on shared goals and interdependent initiatives
Navigate ambiguity and resolve conflicts between competing priorities
Communicate complex operational challenges and solutions to executive audiences
Lead change management efforts for organizational transformations
Innovation & Automation
Champion innovation in program management approaches leveraging GenAI technologies and methodologies
Identify opportunities to apply GenAI and machine learning to enhance fee integrity eliminate manual processes and scale operational capabilities
Partner with technology teams to build tools and systems that improve operational efficiency
Establish processes that enable the organization to move faster while maintaining high quality
Communication & Influence
Communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats including narratives PR/FAQs MBRs QBRs and OP1/OP2 planning documents
Present decisions and strategic initiatives to senior leaders up to three tiers above your level (L10/L11 equivalents)
Effectively communicate to all types of audiences across diverse locales roles and functions including Product Engineering Finance Operations and external partners
Drive strategic initiatives with 3 year horizons and may be accountable for OP1/OP2 organizational goals
Influence and negotiate effectively through compelling narratives and data-driven arguments while remaining open to others perspectives
Foster a psychologically safe culture where team members contribute to conversations independent of their level
Communicate both the vision for the organization and the motivations behind that vision ensuring employees understand how team goals fit into broader organizational objectives
Lead challenging conversations with empathy gathering necessary information and seeking exceptions when appropriate
Regularly share team and organizational vision through team meetings town halls and inspection mechanisms that promote focus on activities aligned with organizational goals
Business Impact & Operational Metrics
Own key operational metrics for fee integrity including accuracy rates defect reduction and escalation resolution
Analyze trends and patterns to identify systemic issues and drive root cause resolution
Develop business cases for investments in people tools and process improvements
Track and report on program ROI demonstrating clear business value
Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and cost optimization
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Set the standard for process improvements and operational excellence across the Fees Operations organization
Actively work to remove bottlenecks and create best practices that scale across global operations
Ask the hard questions: Where do we block the business Should this process/policy/program continue to exist
Establish and regularly review business performance and operational metrics to ensure continuous improvement
Build mechanisms to audit the customer experience and operational performance using data to drive systematic improvements
Develop your leaders ability to identify process inefficiencies and champion solutions independently

- 5 years of team management experience
- 8 years of program or project management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
- Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Track record of driving automation and process improvement initiatives at scale
- Familiarity with GenAI applications in operations and program management
- Strong technical acumen with ability to partner effectively with engineering teams
