ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Overseeing construction contractors and project execution to ensure timely high-quality renovations repairs and capital improvement work; ensuring contractor compliance with safety standards scope requirements documentation protocols and performance expectations while promoting efficiency accountability and consistent delivery across all assigned construction projects.

CLASSIFICATION: W-2 hourly
COMPENSATION RANGE: Compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience expertise verified credentials and available company budget.
BENEFITS PACKAGE: Eligible
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 50% of the time. You will use a company vehicle. There is no additional compensation for travel.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing contractor teams and serving as the on-site foreman for residential construction renovation and capital improvement projects. This role ensures that contractors deliver work that meets company standards for quality safety and timelines while maintaining accurate project documentation in CompanyCam. The supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager 1 and plays a critical leadership role in coordinating field operations verifying contractor compliance and ensuring smooth execution of all construction activities.
SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise direct and evaluate contractor crews performing residential construction and renovation work.
- Serve as on-site foreman ensuring contractor performance aligns with project scope quality requirements and safety standards.
- Coordinate contractor schedules inspect ongoing work and ensure timely project completion.
- Review contractor workmanship and conduct routine quality control inspections.
- Document all construction activities in CompanyCam including photos notes tasks and issue tracking.
- Ensure contractors follow documentation requirements and enforce CompanyCam protocol compliance.
- Communicate regularly with Operations Manager 1 regarding project progress contractor performance delays and resource needs.
- Participate in weekly planning reporting and operational meetings.
- Monitor materials tools and equipment usage to ensure contractors work efficiently and within scope.
UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to urgent construction-related issues or site needs as directed.
- Provide coverage for Operations Manager or Facility Director when necessary.
- Participate in unplanned audits inspections and compliance reviews.
- Support special projects or perform additional duties as assigned by Operations Manager 1.
- Prepare and submit scopes of work to the Office Manager to obtain competitive subcontractor quotes in alignment with company protocol and do not participate in the quote process to avoid conflicts of interest. Oversee the work of subcontractors and staff to ensure all work is performed in a professional workmanlike manner.
- Conduct site visits as needed develop project estimates and oversee completion of approved work; you may participate in obtaining subcontractor quotes for these projects provided all company profit margin requirements are met. Supervise subcontractors and staff to ensure all work meets company quality and workmanlike standards.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and ability to direct contractor teams
- Knowledge of residential construction methods standards and safety practices
- Skill in project oversight scheduling and contractor coordination
- Proficiency in job-site documentation and progress tracking (CompanyCam preferred)
- Ability to interpret scopes of work drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication organization and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently make decisions and manage multiple contractors simultaneously
- Conflict resolution and vendor management skills
- Comfort using mobile apps and digital tools for field documentation
LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or construction-related training preferred
- 35 years of experience in residential construction supervision or contractor management
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Experience with CompanyCam or willingness to learn quickly
- OSHA certification or familiarity with construction safety standards preferred
