Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician at Pilots Point Student Housing Shreveport LA
At Pilots Point we provide a safe comfortable and student-focused living environment where residents can thrive academically and personally. Were looking for a skilled reliable and customer-oriented Maintenance Technician to help us maintain a high-quality community experience for our students.
In this role youll respond to maintenance requests complete repairs support unit turnovers and help keep the property clean safe and fully operational. If you enjoy hands-on work problem-solving and helping residents feel at home this could be a great opportunity for you.
What Were Looking For
- Prior maintenance experience in student housing multifamily or similar environments preferred
- Strong skills in general repairs troubleshooting and building systems
- Experience with HVAC plumbing electrical and appliance repair (HVAC certification a plus)
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with students
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the day
- Dependable organized and committed to maintaining a well-kept community
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
- Valid drivers license is required
What Youll Be Doing
- Complete work orders for student units and common areas
- Troubleshoot HVAC plumbing electrical and appliance-related issues
- Assist with unit turns including repairs cleaning touch-ups and inspection tasks
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce system downtime
- Keep maintenance areas clean organized and inventory stocked
- Perform groundskeeping and community upkeep as needed
- Work closely with the on-site team to support student satisfaction and safety
- Participate in emergency maintenance response when required
Pay & Perks
- Compensation Range: $20$26 per hour based on experience
- Pay Schedule: Paid semi-monthly
