The Maintenance Mechanic supports the operation inspection and maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems across assigned facilities. This role assists MES Mobile Engineers with maintenance and repair activities while also independently performing routine and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include interior and exterior building maintenance to ensure safe functional and well-maintained facilities that support client operations.
Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for mechanical electrical plumbing and other building systems and equipment.
Conduct facility inspections and due diligence activities reporting conditions that may impact client occupancy or operations.
Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures installing keyboard trays repairing office furniture systems and repairing doors.
Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance and repairs as directed.
Move office furniture machinery equipment and other materials as requested.
Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts.
Clean HVAC coils and replace filters and belts.
Perform other related maintenance tasks as assigned.
Complete hazard assessments as required.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safe work areas.
Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with all applicable State County and City ordinances codes and regulations.
Complete all required safety training on schedule.
Practice defensive driving at all times.
Comply with policies for the safe storage use and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain a valid state drivers license (required for mobile positions).
Submit P-card receipts daily as applicable.
Update work order status in real time.
Utilize CMMS systems (such as 360 Facility) to document all work performed.
Perform routine vehicle safety inspections.
Escalate issues or concerns to customers and management in a timely manner.
Attend required work safety and team meetings.
Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned.
Education / Training
High school diploma or equivalent.
Universal EPA Certification (preffered).
Experience
Minimum of 13 years of experience in general building repair and maintenance including basic plumbing and basic electrical work.

Certifications / Licenses
Licenses as required by the authority having jurisdiction.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Ability to work from heights.
Frequent climbing bending lifting kneeling stooping and overhead work.

Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet.
