Organization Overview:The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York Citys leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children youth and families homeless individuals and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families out-of-school and out-of-work youth and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville and seek to deliver programs that are impactful innovative and intergenerational.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Education and Workforce Development the Manager of Participant Support Services is responsible for supervising monitoring and evaluating case management and case assistance services in the Isaacs Center Youth addition the Manager of Participant Support Services will ensure that Education and Workforce Development programs are welcoming engaging and support the social and emotional growth of each participant. The Manager of Participant Support Services will manage the provision of individual and group support to children and young adults with significant needs. The Manager of Participant Support Services is responsible for the training and coordination of case management and case assistance staff including part-time staff seasonal staff and addition the Manager of Participant Support Services will focus on the development of exemplary client service systems and conjunction with the Manager of Education and Workforce Development at Isaacs Center the Manager of Participant Support Services will develop policy and procedures consistent with best practices in youth services explore innovative models of service and facilitate the development of an extensive resource/referral network for clients. As a result of the efforts of the Manager Isaacs Center will position itself as a client-centric and results-oriented service provider unlike any other in New York City.

Schedule: 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $77250-$85500

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidates number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising case management and case assistance staff.
  • Coordinates recruitment hiring scheduling supervision staff development and evaluation for full-time part-time seasonal staff and interns as required.
  • Oversees day-to-day functioning of case management and case assistance services.
  • Provides individual and group reflective supervision to social support staff.
  • Offers training and skill development opportunities to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Ensures that all environments are welcoming to participants with a history of social and emotional trauma.
  • Leads trauma-informed care efforts across individual and group counseling settings.
  • Facilitates individual and group workshops aligned with organizational needs and staff expertise.
  • Coordinates clinical services staffing patterns data entry client flow resource procurement and crisis intervention.
  • Provides counseling services (individual group walk-in) case assistance and case management to children and young adults following agency procedures.
  • Develops and enforces policies and procedures aligned with best practices and licensure requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships and partnerships that support clients social-emotional legal and career outcomes.
  • Serves on external-facing coalitions and committees.
  • Participates in and builds relationships with other Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in support of youth services.
  • Actively contributes to data collection and reporting processes.
  • Oversees quality assurance for Case Management Services.
  • Provides community engagement around entitlements legal matters college and career development financial independence and housing stability.
  • Facilitates advocacy with agencies institutions and organizations.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Must hold at least an LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) and have a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience. Clinical licensure and experience working with youth populations are preferred.
  • SIFI Certification is required along with at least 1 year of intern supervisory experience.
  • Must possess strong writing speaking interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to represent the Education and Workforce department at external functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing case management facilitating group work managing
  • data and coordinating entitlements benefits and community resources.
  • Experience with Trauma-Informed Care Motivational Interviewing and Crisis Management.
  • A history of working with diverse and vulnerable youth populations.
