About the role
We are looking for a Strategic Buyer to join our Global Procurement team within the Plastics & Chemicals this role you will work on strategic tactical and operational purchasing activities supporting VELUXs sustainability and growth objectives. You will report to the Category Manager and collaborate closely with global stakeholders and suppliers. You can expect business travel of approximately 4050 days per year.
Your responsibilities
- Driving independent and cross-functional strategic procurement projects.
- Managing your own portfolio of cost-reduction initiatives.
- Managing vendor relationships negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Contributing to the development and execution of purchasing strategies.
- Executing RFI/RFQ processes and maintaining accurate master data in SAP.
- Ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders on contracts pricing and supplier performance.
- Identifying optimization opportunities including potential new suppliers.
- Working with procurement KPIs and ensuring progress on targets.
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
Our requirements
- University degree (technical or commercial background such as engineering or MSc in Economics & Business Administration).
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing and project management.
- Background in Plastics and Chemicals is beneficial
- Advanced skills in negotiation and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experience with SAP Ariba and MS Office 365.
- Ability to work in a structured way and manage multiple processes simultaneously.
- Fluent English and ability to work across cultures and geographic locations.
- Highly developed analytical skills attention to detail and solid business acumen.
- Ability to plan prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.
