Our client is a proudly Australian-owned family-run business operating a modern fleet of civil earthworks machinery. With more than 48 pieces of equipment owned outright they are continuing to expand and are now seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join their team.
The primary role is to carry out maintenance repairs and diagnostics on a range of earthmoving and civil equipment across both field service and site-based positions.
The Opportunity
This position offers long-term full-time permanent employment on a 2:1 dayshift-only roster. With strong hourly rates stability and a supportive team environment this is a great opportunity for experienced fitters looking to cement themselves in a reputable civil contractor.
The Tasks Ahead:
- Carry out servicing breakdowns and repairs on CAT John Deere Hitachi and other civil earthworks machinery
- Work on excavators (30T50T) graders (14 & 16) dozers (D8D10) trucks moxeys rollers water carts and loaders
- Occasional work on underground gear and drill rigs
- Perform diagnostics troubleshooting and component changeouts
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure safe work practices at all times
About You
You are an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter who takes pride in quality workmanship enjoys working in a tight-knit team and is confident carrying out autonomous field or site-based work. You have strong diagnostic capability and a solid background working on civil machinery within Australia.

Candidates currently in Australia on a valid visa may be considered if already sponsored elsewhere the client is open to taking over existing sponsorships.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in Australia
- Trade qualification HD Fitter / Diesel Mechanic
- Strong mechanical hydraulic and diagnostic skills
- Valid Australian drivers licence
- Ability to work a 2/1 FIFO roster on dayshift only
