Job Duties
Position works in a varied capacity and supports division attorneys by performing initial investigative review of claims filed against the Commonwealth and client agencies including the Virginia Department of Corrections the Virginia Parole Board and the Department of Juvenile Justice conducting witness interviews preparing drafts of legal documents and memoranda for attorney review maintaining document and file control gathering relevant documents and video footage to include review and analysis of video footage and audio recordings assisting in all phases of discovery and working with attorneys to handle electronic discovery and assisting in trial preparation.

Bachelors degree in related field and/or Legal Assistant Certificate is preferred; however an equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of the required qualifications may substitute for educational criteria.
