Job Description
- Handle federal immigration litigation matters from start to finish
- Draft and file federal complaints motions briefs and petitions
- Litigate APA challenges for unreasonable delays and wrongful denials
- Bring mandamus actions to compel agency action
- File habeas corpus petitions challenging unlawful detention
- Handle circuit petitions for review and district court actions
- Draft internal legal opinion memos to support administrative-level attorneys
- Conduct advanced legal research on complex immigration and crimmigration issues
- Develop litigation strategies that strengthen administrative and federal cases
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
- 3 years of federal immigration litigation experience
- Demonstrated experience with APA mandamus and/or habeas actions
- Strong federal legal research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage cases remotely
- Commitment to high ethical standards and client advocacy
