42dot China is a newly established subsidiary dedicated to pioneering R&D in autonomous driving technologies in China. We are seeking an experienced and agile HR Manager to establish and lead the HR and office operations at our new R&D hub in Lingang.
This position plays a key role in building both infrastructure and culture from the ground up while ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with 42dots global mission. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is essential.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain HR frameworks in compliance with local regulations and labor laws (e.g. employment rules social insurance housing fund etc.)
Implement and localize HQ HR policies including performance management compensation and job grading
Administer payroll in accordance with local regulations including social insurance and housing fund contributions statutory deductions and individual income tax calculation
Participate in HR projects such as compensation benchmarking and position leveling
Facilitate communication between HQ and the local entity considering linguistic and cultural differences
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of hands-on HR experience
Business-level proficiency in Chinese and English (Verbal & Written)
Ability to autonomously prioritize and systematically manage a wide scope of responsibilities with a strong sense of accountability
Strong execution and project management skills especially in early-stage organizational setup
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in entity establishment or initial infrastructure setup (e.g. localization of HR systems)
Experience with Workday or other country-specific HRIS platforms
Experience working in a matrix organization between a global HQ and local subsidiaries or in a similar environment
