Role description:

Arcadis is seeking to hire a Canada Workplace Security Operations & Systems Analyst to provide a comprehensiveCanada wide Workplace Security Operations & system oversight service including providing high quality customer service and technical support provision to all the users of the Arcadis offices in Canada. Understanding and using relevant Corporate & Workplace Security Management procedures and processes to ensure consistency and all office operations by assisting the office staff with Workplace projects systems and procedures.

Role accountabilities:

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

A. Security Governance & Access Control Administration

  • Badge lifecycle management (issue modify deactivate).
  • Weekly/monthly access audits
  • Contractor and vendor access controls.
  • Compliance with onboarding/offboarding protocols.
  • Access anomaly investigations
  • Visitor and temporary badge governance.

B. Incident Response & Investigations

  • Responding to access breaches alarms threats
  • Conducting full internal investigations (beyond pulling footage)
  • Preparing formal incident reports with findings and analysis
  • Coordinating with HR Legal and People Services
  • Evidence handling and chain-of-custody processes
  • Trend analysis and corrective action plans

C. Risk Compliance & Security Governance

  • Physical security risk assessments for offices
  • Policy enforcement (access control CCTV usage retention privacy)
  • Alignment with GDPR/PIPEDA/privacy standards
  • SOP development and documentation management
  • Internal security audits and control reviews
  • Business continuity and emergency planning support

D. Technical Vendor & Project Management

  • Vendor management and SLA oversight
  • Coordinating installations repairs and upgrades
  • Leading small to mid-scale security system projects
  • Managing hardware lifecycle planning and technology roadmap
  • Reporting security metrics to leadership
  • Training workplace/security teams on system use

E. Workplace Operations Access Control System & Oversight

  • Monitor the security system health monitor and check the security system server proper functionality daily.
  • Troubleshoot any technical problems that can arise with the security system controllers modules points: car readers outputs inputs communication with the monitoring station.
  • Make recommendations assist and deploy security system upgrades
  • Make recommendations and assist with the decommissioning of the security system
  • Update system setup for each office as needed: e.g. special events changes in system configuration.
  • Monitor the CCTV system: check the functionality of all NVRs and cameras; investigate camera footage and provide recordings when requested.
  • Liase with each location Landlord for routine system upgrade and ensure zero impact to Arcadians and operational measures (elevator access system; mag lock reboot)
  • Issuance of access cards for new hire(s); Visitors. Deactivation of access cards for termed employee(s) and visitors.
  • Manage & monitor visitor logs at all locations

Qualifications & Experience:

Position requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Minimum years of experience: 2 - 4 years
  • Previous experience in Corporate Safety & Security management.
  • Protégé System knowledge is a MUST
  • Building corporate procedures risk mitigation plans & BCP
  • Incident reporting & RCA
  • Knowledge ofGDPR/PIPEDA/privacy standards and legislation
  • Education required: Equivalent work experience in the Safety & Security field
  • Registrations/Certifications required: n/a
  • Special considerations specific technical experience skills etc. includingProficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent communication skills; Protégé & Securitas Monitoring system experience
  • Potential travel is required for this position.

Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Real Estate field experience preferred (Facilities/Corporate/Residential)
  • Project a professional image in person on the phone and in writing.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Teams Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Exercises discretion and confidentiality.
  • Deals effectively with rapidly changing priorities and last-minute deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented dependable proactive and ability to work with minimum supervision.
