Role: Deputy General Manager / General Manager / Lead Fundraising
Location: Mumbai (Hybrid)
Experience Required: 15 years (including 5 years in fundraising)
Compensation: Up to 40 LPA Variable

About the Role
Lead fundraising efforts targeting 50 crore for a publicly listed organization (NSE) currently raising 100 crore annually. Work with rural communities to drive sustainable impact through strategic donor partnerships and organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Sales Management
- Generate leads and develop B2B partnerships across domestic and international institutions (grant-making foundations philanthropic trusts CSR multilateral agencies)
- Own the complete fundraising cycle: lead generation pitching closures and onboarding
- Implement systems to maximize partnership engagement volunteering and funding opportunities
- Manage program budgets with transparent donor reporting
- Establish sales frameworks with reviews solutions and incentive plans
- Drive donor retention and growth in grant/donation sizes
B. Relationship Management
- Serve as account manager for large donor collaborations
- Build and nurture lasting multi-year relationships across multiple projects
- Maintain best-in-sector client relationship management practices
- Oversee MoUs program progress fund utilization and allocations
- Act as effective liaison between the organization and donor partners
C. Team Management
- Mentor junior team members and onboard new joiners
- Balance external and internal priorities effectively
- Own career frameworks reviews and individual growth plans
- Ensure adequate manpower funding allocation and technology enablement
D. Grant & Funds Management
- Lead funding allocations and financial/programmatic decisions
- Analyze costs budgets and program expenditures
- Maintain data analytics and program monitoring
- Organize regular project reviews and progress tracking
- Ensure prompt acknowledgment and accurate record-keeping of grant income
E. Internal Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Fundraising Head Program/Geography teams Finance and M&E teams
- Work with implementation teams on budget and costing structures
- Support Communications team with donor campaigns events and social media content
- Develop channels for internal and external communications on milestones and success stories
F. Knowledge Management & Process Improvement
- Maintain trackers for funding MoUs proposals and databases
- Deliver timely accurate and transparent donor reporting with positive impact narratives
- Present results and outcomes in meaningful compelling ways
Qualifications & Experience
For General Manager Level:
- 18 years (for graduates) or 15 years (for postgraduates)
- Minimum 5 years in social sector (preferred)
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Proven track record in connecting with major donors and supporters
- Program or donor management experience in social development (Corporate Foundations/NGOs/Social Implementation Partners) OR B2B corporate experience in hospitality media BFSI or KPO in BD/sales/relationship management roles
- Ability to drive complex projects in a timely manner
- Experience with grant management and securing funding from diverse streams (preferred)
- Strong data analytics and consulting skills
