Job Summary

Our client is a well-established and growing freight forwarding and logistics organization with a strong domestic footprint and international partner network. The company provides end-to-end logistics solutions across Air Freight Ocean Freight and multi-modal services supporting a diverse customer base across multiple industries. To strengthen their team they are looking to hire :


Head - Air Freight

(Based in Mumbai)


Your Role: The Head Air Freight will lead and scale the Air Freight business across India. This is a leadership role with full ownership of commercial strategy revenue growth key accounts and team leadership for the Air Freight vertical. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution working closely with sales operations and customer service teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive the Air Freight P&L and revenue growth across regions
  • Develop and execute national Air Freight sales and business development strategies
  • Build and manage strong relationships with airlines key customers and global partners
  • Lead mentor and grow the Air Freight sales and commercial team
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Track market trends pricing yield management and competitor activity
  • Support major tenders contract negotiations and strategic accounts
  • Act as a senior representative of the organization with customers and industry stakeholders


Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in Air Freight sales / commercial leadership within freight forwarding or logistics
  • Strong understanding of international air cargo operations pricing and trade lanes
  • Proven track record in scaling Air Freight revenue and managing large key accounts
  • Experience leading and building high-performing sales teams
  • Strong commercial acumen negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment
