As Lead Construction Manager you will be responsible for supervision of activities related to the construction and commissioning on customer site. Will oversee phases starting site mobilization through civil erection and commissioning work as well as management of other activities related to this scope. Responsible for meeting the standards of SQDC as set by GE Vernova.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Individual will manage construction and commissioning activities.
May Include direct people management responsibility including performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge and analytical thinking to execute contract scope.
Has knowledge of best practices and how his own area integrates with others and has ability to implement industry best practices
Ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated site related real time problems.
Help in mentoring team members with less experience. Owns skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations effectively.
Required Qualifications
This role requires advanced experience in the Construction and Commissioning Operations.
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college
Desired Characteristics
Preferably transmission sector experience in construction and commissioning.
Good communication skill and customer handling experience
Should have managed construction sites independently
Skilled in Subcontractor management (both big and small)
