Pricing plays a critical role in that mission ensuring our 200K product catalog is competitively priced trusted and easy for customers to understand. We are seeking a Senior Director of Pricing & Data Science to lead the vision strategy and execution of Chewys central pricing this role you will shape how Chewy prices products across categories partner with leaders across the company and drive innovations that ensure customers always feel confident shopping with us.
What Youll Do
- Set the enterprise pricing strategy across catalog retail categories and emerging businesses.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary pricing organization including Pricing Operations Analytics Data Science and Product Management.
- Ensure Chewys prices are competitive accurate and predictable balancing customer trust with long-term business health.
- Drive experimentation and innovation including elasticity modeling ML frameworks causal inference generative AI applications and dynamic pricing capabilities.
- Communicate pricing strategy and performance to senior leadership with clarity sound judgment and a customer-first mindset.
- Build and develop high-performing teams fostering a culture of curiosity ownership and operational excellence.
What Youll Need
- MBA or MS in Economics Mathematics Finance Data Science or a related field
- 15 years of progressive professional experience
- 5 years in retail or e-commerce pricing
- 5 years managing large multi-level teams
- Deep experience with dynamic pricing experimentation causal modeling and machine learning
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity
