Job Summary
Newberry Group seeks a Business Analystto join our team in support of the US Department of Agriculture. Ideal candidates possess experience across an Enterprise environment having the responsibility to implement technical business projects and solutions.
Location
This is a full-time telecommute role. The applicant must reside in the United States and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Salary
$100000 to $105000
Duration
This position is expected to last through June 2026 with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Works with stakeholders and technical team members to map analyze and document business processes workflows and projects
  • Strategic design and mapping business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements
  • Provides input to customized dashboards standard reporting and standard operating procedures that support integrated scheduling
  • Implement document control policies and documentation templates
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of assigned component projects
  • Ensures compliance with objectives organizational policies procedures and standards
  • Ensures projects comply with best practices SOPs PMO policies and other policies
  • Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and customers
  • Shares similar mentality as existing team members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Able to exercise independent judgment
  • Able to effectively facilitate meetings demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills and interact with executive level project sponsors
Basic Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Bachelors degree in business administration computer science or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of business analysis experience
  • Skilled with Microsoft Project and SharePoint and other leading industry tools
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents/tools:
    • Business Process
    • Process Flow Analysis
    • Experience working with developers
    • Experience with Cloud Solutions
    • Detailed Functional Design
    • Executive Summaries
    • Project Plans
  • Ability to identify initiate manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking capabilities
  • Personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • 2 years of experience directly supporting a large corporation/agency or military branch
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts business models and technologies
  • Teamwork
    • Establish harmonious working relationships with team members
    • Appreciates each team members contributions and values each individual member
    • Experience communicating through Microsoft Teams or a similar platform
    • Ability to jump in and support other team members as workloads shift throughout the year
  • Client Management
    • Values internal and external clients and responds in a timely manner
    • Establishes effective working relationship with clients
    • Follows established communication guidelines
    • Uses good judgment in what and how to communicate with clients
Preferred Qualifications and Skills (not mandatory)
  • Strong Governance & Compliance background desired.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Extensive experience in vendor coordination and support for service area technologies including collaboration and team analysis.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple programs handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.
