Job Summary
Position Overview:
The Head Operations will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing and production operations with a focus on heavy fabrication including pressure vessels heat exchangersand storage tanks. The role involves strategic planning production management quality assurance safety compliance cost optimization and leading cross-functional teams to ensure efficient safe and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all production and fabrication operations ensuring adherence to schedules budgets and quality standards.
Develop and implement production plans workflow processes and resource allocation strategies for optimum efficiency.
Ensure compliance with engineering drawings specifications and relevant industry standards (ASME API etc.).
Oversee quality control and assurance processes ensuring products meet client and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives lean manufacturing practices and operational efficiency.
Monitor safety standards and regulations promoting a safe work environment across all fabrication units.
Manage production budgets cost optimization and financial performance of operations.
Resolve operational conflicts remove bottlenecks and support problem-solving across production teams.
Coordinate with engineering procurement and project management teams for seamless project execution.
Mentor develop and lead a high-performing operations team fostering collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
12 18 years of experience in heavy fabrication operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong technical expertise in pressure vessels heat exchangers and storage tanks fabrication.
Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in production planning scheduling and resource management.
Knowledge of quality assurance inspection techniques and regulatory compliance.
Strong problem-solving analytical and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to fabrication and production.
Excellent communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing safety regulations and financial management.
