Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production skilled trades and administrative roles including interviewing background checks and onboarding.
- Administer HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with federal state and local labor laws and manufacturing-specific regulations (e.g. OSHA).
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on performance management disciplinary actions and conflict resolution addressing shop floor issues.
- Oversee the administration of benefits programs payroll processing support and leave management for a diverse workforce across shifts.
- Facilitate and track employee training and development initiatives including safety training skill development and compliance courses relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs emphasizing safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data generating reports as needed for workforce analysis and compliance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Comprehensive HR Generalist experience including recruitment employee relations compensation and benefits administration.
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment understanding operational demands and workforce dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws including OSHA compliance and HR best practices relevant to manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues investigations and performance management.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and generating HR reports.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish)
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization projects
