Job Summary
A leading financial services company in Paarl is seeking a detail-oriented and strategicFinancial Managerto oversee and manage all financial operations. The ideal candidate holds a degree hasat least 5 years experience and is proficient in budgeting reporting compliance and team leadership within the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts reconciliations and reportingPrepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports and statements
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure statutory compliance (e.g. SARS VAT PAYE) and support external audits
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices
Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
Lead and mentor the finance team
Manage cash flow banking relationships and funding requirements
Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies
Requirements:
degreein Finance Accounting or related field (essential)
5 years relevant experience ideally within thefinancial services sector
Strong understanding of South African financial regulations tax laws and compliance requirements
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Xero Pastel) and MS Excel
Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. Honours CIMA or SAIPA/SAICA articles)
Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis
Knowledge of FAIS FICA and other relevant financial services regulations
