Sales Manager
Job Purpose
The Country Sales Manager applies Seco Sales policy at the level of his/her region with objectives of turnover market share and profitability. Plan direct and monitor the activities of a sales team including coordination of actions and communication with the various departments.
The Sales Manager reports to the Market Manager of SEA.
Main activities
Operational sales management and support to distribution management
- Implement with his/her team the strategy with objectives for direct customers and distributors.
- Control the reporting of sales opportunities with each of the sales engineers and account managers and monitor their progress.
- Drive the implementation of Sales and technical monitoring of distributors.
- Check and share with the pricing department the content and legal aspects of contracts according to Compliance and Code of Conduct
- Stick to the sales plan for new products set up at the Market level in order to achieve the Seco groups objectives.
- Manage sales: Communicate in his /her team on the achievements and build an action plan to correct and fill the gaps.
- Monitor the deployment of the strategy on all sales territories through an annual sales plan.
- Manage the tariff increases and profitability for his/her area.
- Contribute to the development of segments at Group level.
Leadership
- Manage his/her team:
- Supervise and coordinate the team based on the measurement of the performance of goals and KPIs as well as security:
- Ensure the adequacy of human and material resources in relation to defined objectives.
- Set priorities in relation to the objectives of the xx Regional Cluster Management and the needs of customers.
- Define the objectives of the team members in accordance with the objectives of the Group.
- Conduct annual performance and development interviews of team members.
- Run the daily/weekly meetings of the team.
- Manage the working time of his/her team and the working time management system.
- Empower employees on the activities entrusted.
- Ensure application of procedures in force enforce the rules in a comprehensive and homogeneous manner in particular the compliance/compliance rules of the Sandvik Group.
- Communicate and enforce the companys salary policy.
- Implement the Seco policy by promoting the Groups values.
Develop the team:
- Ensure a work environment that fosters initiative creativity and innovation.
- Manage the teams continuous improvement plans set progress objectives verify their achievement.
- Develop versatility in the department and monitor the development of employees skills.
- Identify skills needed for the future
- Provide all the necessary training for the development of team members.
- Pilot the integration of newcomers.
- Promote Seco values and ensure the development of employees soft skills.
- Maintain job definitions and competencies matrix for their department.
- Share best practices within the department.
Communicate:
- Provide information to employees of the department (objectives and commercial results HR information company/group information) .
- Escalate the information to the right stakeholders within the allocated time.
- Alert on the risks identified and the problems encountered according to the defined processes.
- Participate to the preparation of the budget of the leadership team and its monitoring.
- Participate to the definition of the Sales Strategy of the market leadership team.
- Keep up to date KPIs and performance indicators applicable to the regional team.
- Develop a network to share knowledge within the teams to support improvements and problem solving in the team and to share good practices.
You should have
* Education background: Bachelor of Engineering with an extensive sales experience of at least 8 years. MBA Preferred.
* Fields of expertise: Mechanical engineering manufacturing knowledge of cutting tools and business practices. Knowledge on Aerospace/Medical manufacturing are preferred.
* Languages: Good English native speaker and Mandarin are required.
fluency
* IT competencies: Power BI Office 365 (Excel Word Powerpoint Teams Sharepoint etc.) ERP and CRM
* Other: Overnight travel domestically and internationally for attending training meetings and sales activities
