Role Overview:
This role focuses on driving project-based sales within the Central Region. As a technical sales professional you will target Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractors consultants and direct building owners to promote commercial HVAC solutions specifically focusing on Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF/VRV) systems. The position requires a combination of engineering expertise and aggressive sales drive to meet volume and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Sales
System Consultation: Apply engineering knowledge to provide product presentations and develop technical system design proposals.
Inquiry Management: Respond to customer inquiries by providing detailed technical information and accurate price quotations.
Feature Presentation: Highlight key product benefits and selling points while ensuring the message aligns with specific customer needs.
Business Development & Negotiation
Prospecting: Proactively identify and develop new accounts through networking referrals and cold calling.
Strategic Negotiation: Lead negotiations at the executive level to secure win-win outcomes while protecting the companys interests.
Relationship Management: Maintain high standards of customer service and build long-term relationships with industry partners
Operational Efficiency
Cost Control: Work with internal resources to minimize estimated costs and reduce deviations in project pricing.
Goal Alignment: Collaborate with the wider sales organization to meet and exceed collective sales goals.
Market Response: Create new opportunities and respond effectively to existing market demands across Malaysia.
Collaboration & Reporting
Internal Alignment: Work with marketing finance and retail operations to ensure the marketplace needs match the brands direction.
Performance Reviews: Deliver timely business reviews and detailed reports on inventory health and category profitability.
Requirements
Experience & Education
Education: A Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
Professional Background: 3 to 5 years of experience in wholesale or key account management specifically within the fashion footwear or sports retail industries.
Proven Results: A documented history of managing major retail partners and delivering business growth.
Technical Skills
Analytical Proficiency: Deep understanding of retail math including Open-to-Buy (OTB) cycles stock turn and margin structures.
Negotiation: Strong ability to influence and negotiate with professional buyers and internal stakeholders.
Communication: Skilled at delivering persuasive business presentations and solving complex account challenges.
