Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join the team in Coimbatore. The role is ideal for a professional with prior experience in B2B and B2G sales within the Industrial Paint and coatings industry . This position involves building and nurturing strong client relationships identifying new business opportunities and achieving sales growth in a highly competitive markets.
The Ideal Candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial and government sales within the paint sector backed by a solid understanding of paint chemistry and strong persuasive communication skills.
Job Responsibilities :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in B2B and B2G segments including infrastructure chemical zones refineries and public sector clients.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients by understanding their requirements and offering customized product solutions.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by identifying customer needs closing deals and promoting value-added products.
- Monitor market trends competitor activities and client preferences to inform sales strategy and product positioning.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of paint and coating products including their features applications and benefits.
- Collect and communicate customer requirements internally to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports including forecasts client feedback and market insights for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing product development and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide excellent post-sales support addressing client inquiries and ensuring timely delivery and service resolution.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of sales experience in the paint and coatings industry preferably in B2B and government sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related technical field OR Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related discipline with relevant paint industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of paints coatings and industrial applications.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proficient in relationship building and customer engagement.
- Familiarity with B2B/B2G sales processes and government tendering.
- Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-driven with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities.
