About the Role:The Billing Lead is responsible for documenting Standard Work and procedures for the companys regional billing generally and improving internal and external customer relations for key customers and/or new customers as it related to Unbilled and conjunction with the Global Billing Manager the Billing Lead will help address day-to-day challenges the team faces regarding Accounts Receivables and unbilled orders consolidating escalations for the Global Billing Manager where needed. Additionally the Billing Lead will assist with New Hire training. They will also assist with testing and implementation of new or improved processes with the Regional Billing Teams echoing the direction of the Global Billing Manager locally.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist regional billing team(s) with day-to-day questions and/or escalations
    1. Advise on other functional areas
    2. Provide insight on standard operation process
    3. Resolve complex billing issues escalating to Global Billing Manager where needed
  • Document and maintain process documentation related to billing functions
  • Provide collections support to regional credit and collections and project accountants
  • Assist with new hire interviews training & onboarding
  • Assist with month-end close process by reviewing AR reporting to ensure project financials are correctly stated and executing AR Module Close
  • Assist Global Billing Manager with develop and maintain AR policies training materials and departmental standards ensuring they are up to date standardized and effectively implemented relative to their region
  • Assist with extending electronic invoicing and routing system to entire company
  • Provide support as needed for annual audits and tax filings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or a related field desired
  • A minimum of three years of progressive finance analysis and leadership experience required with a minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with Oracle or another project-based ERP system preferred
  • Experience with RevPro and/or Blackline preferred
  • Experience in assessing and implementing process improvements utilizing continuous improvement or other tools to track measurable results
  • Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Advanced skill level using Excel and proficient in all other Microsoft products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others
  • Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the company
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement with a proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
