The Opportunity
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbotts Diagnostics family of businesses delivering industry-leading technologies and expert teams to support diagnostic testing that informs treatment and disease management.
We are hiringaSenior Sales Trainerto support our U.S. Cardiometabolic division within Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. This is a field-based rolewith 50% travel preferred locations include any major metro areas with a preference for Lake Bluff IL.
The CardiometabolicSenior SalesTrainerwill lead the planning and execution of training for field-based teams including Regional Enterprise Account and Account Managers while partnering with the Technical Training Manager on Technical Consultant programs. This role works closely with the Training Team to guide Field Trainers and Coaches ensuring consistent content and delivery.
WhatYoullWork On
- Administer and execute training programs for the ARDx Cardiometabolic team.
- Assess employee skills performance and productivity; provide written evaluations with improvement recommendations.
- Develop andmaintaincontent for the ARDx learning platform including training materials and competency repositories.
- Oversee training in key areas such as product knowledge sales strategies internal processes and tools (e.g. Salesforce Power BI Definitive Health).
- Research and implement new training materials and programs to enhance procedures and add organizational value.
- Manageonboardingnew hires including assigning training and coordinating with Field Trainers and Coaches.
- Identifyfuture training needs and design a curriculum to address them.
- Maintain high-level communication withthe TrainingDirector Sales Director Marketing and Regional Managers to align training initiatives.
- Estimate develop and manage budgets for training classes and programs.
- Track certification results andreportmanagement; ensure compliance with ARDx training programs (e.g. Miller HeimanScotworks Insights Discovery).
- Serve as a resource for field coaches and sales leadership guiding skill development and career progression.
- Identifygaps in training content and continuously improve programs for field teams.
- Oversee mentoring programs for Field Coaches and senior sales roles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Corporate Accounts Product Managers Contracts & Pricing Ethics & Compliance) to deliver training and support product launches.
MinimumRequirements
- Bachelors degree.
- 5 years of experience in medical or diagnostic sales.
- 2 years of training experience.
- 4 years of field coaching experience.
- Experience designing and implementing training curricula.
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership organization communication and team-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver effective virtual and in-person training.
- Familiarity with point-of-care medical sales.
