Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Specialist - SAN Storage / VMware / Windows
Location: Des Moines IA (Hybrid - Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 5 Months (Contract)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist with deep expertise in SAN Storage administration and strong hands-on experience in VMware Windows Server and Active Directory. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability performance and scalability of a mission-critical enterprise infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain SAN Storage platforms ensuring optimal performance and availability
Oversee and troubleshoot SAN connectivity with mainframe systems
Administer and support VMware and Windows Server environments
Perform Active Directory administration including security and policy management
Plan and execute system upgrades patches and issue resolution with minimal downtime
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation to support infrastructure improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support activities

Required Experience & Skills
10 years of hands-on experience in SAN Storage Administration (Pure IBM Dell NetApp)
10 years of experience managing SAN connectivity to mainframe environments
10 years of experience administering and maintaining VMware virtual environments
10 years of Windows Server administration
10 years of Active Directory administration (users groups GPOs security)
Strong knowledge of system management processes file systems and data structures
Experience with scripting operating systems and utility programs
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams
High attention to detail especially for technical documentation
Willingness to participate in on-call support for nightly and weekend patching upgrades and troubleshooting

Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation
Exposure to enterprise infrastructure optimization initiatives

Preferred Certifications
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
SAN vendor-specific certifications (Pure Dell IBM NetApp)
