We are seeking a dynamic highly motivated Employment Supervisor who demonstrates our values of compassion accountability responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients families and each other.
Employment Supervisor provide day-to-day oversight and support to the Program manager and a team of Employment Case Workers to provide employment services to program participants in accordance with the mandate of the Employment Ontario (EO) Employment Services program.
The focus of the current EO programs is to serve individuals from targeted vulnerable populations that face multiple barriers to employment in their search for sustainable employment further education and/or job training opportunities. This is an outcome-based program and the successful candidate will have proven track record of working in a similar environment.
This is a unionized permanent full-time position; the rate of pay is $27.43/ hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Client Service Planning and Coordination employment service components of the Employment Ontario (EO) employment programs for eligible clients in accordance with EO program mandate and Wesley policies and procedures.
- Monitor the EOIS/EOPG website by System manager (The FEDCAP Group) for program and system updates.
- Assist Program Manager in completions of Monthly Quarterly interim and final program reports.
- Provide orientation for all new Employment staff and track the completion of each staff orientation. This includes training staff on CaMS and FedCap Cares Data System.
- Create and manage staff schedules and ensure coverage and adequate staffing of The Resources Center both planned and unexpected absence of the Administrative assistant.
- Monitor and approve all jobseeker supports (JSS) and other invoice tracking on Fedcap Cares. Aligning and reporting equally to accounting at Wesley.
- Create and manage staff schedules and ensure coverage and adequate staffing of The Resources Center both planned and unexpected absence of the Administrative assistant.
- Maintain/Monitor specified monthly statistical program targets updates the training and Incentive spreadsheets in addition to supporting the overall team success across all program areas.
- Attend Fedcap Wesley and community partner meetings. Coordinate and complete staff meetings with program Manager.
- Monitor the EOPG website for EOIS- CaMS database updates.
- Follow best practices and keep up to date on emerging trends in the labour market.
- Work collaboratively as a part of the Wesley Urban Ministries team.
- Work with community partners to develop and advance the WES program mandate and to enhance the overall opportunities of those individuals looking for work.
- Carry and maintain a small caseload and other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Post-secondary education in Career and Work Counselling or Social Services field or equivalent experience in a similar setting.
- Strong case management experience with demonstrated knowledge of appropriate career development and job search strategies applicable to serving individuals from targeted vulnerable populations that face multiple barriers to employment in their search for sustainable employment further education and job training opportunities.
- Knowledge of Employment Ontario programs.
- Experience working with a diverse client population with an understanding of the challenges facing individuals looking for work in the Hamilton area.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in other languages an asset.
