To assist in the administration of the Human Resources department while also overseeing the major aspects of training human resources operations and Workplace Health and Safety. Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to establish a relevant achievable and rewarding training and education program for the hotels internal customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures employees receive ongoing training to understand guest expectations.
Participates fully in meetings clinic hours and webinars hosted by the continent Learning team.
Understands role and functionality of the digital learning platform assignments and reporting capabilities.
Stays current on learning technology enhancements and new learning program launches.
Coordinates required onboarding and training programs including identification of participants and periodic follow-up for completion when appropriate.
Thoroughly prepares for each learning event (in-person or virtual) and demonstrates a mastery of content knowledge.
Monitors enrolment and attendance at training classes. Log attendance within the associate record.
Verifies that management and non-management training programs are conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Delivers brand-specific training to improve service performance.
Demonstrates mastery of brand acumen for the brand supported by understanding brand pillars modelling the behaviour and holding others accountable.
Coordinate the implementation of the hotels individual and departmental training plan.
Develop and conduct training activities to meet the identified needs and obligations of line-level associates.
Coordinate the issuance of certificates for completed training and update individual associate records (personnel files).
Oversee the coordination of the Work Experience program and keep records of all training conducted in the Hotel.
Coordinate and record all cross-training within the Hotel and from other Marriott Hotels.
Coordinate support and monitor all Hotel trainees.
Assist HRM with end-of-month reporting related to training.
Assist with the coordination and facilitation of orientation training programs and team events including hotel tours
familiarisation on occasion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
NOTE: This is a Fixed Term position for 6 months starting in January 2026.
