Role Description

Role Description:
As a Principle Engineer - RDBMS - Postgresql at Incedo you will be responsible for managing and optimizing relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Postgresql. You will work with database architects and developers to ensure that databases are designed and configured correctly. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance scalability and security of the RDBMS and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will also work with the security team to ensure that the RDBMS is secure and complies with relevant regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Installing configuring and maintaining relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Postgresql
Managing and optimizing database performance
Implementing and maintaining database security and access controls
Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
Developing and implementing database backup and recovery strategies
Collaborating with other teams to ensure the consistency and integrity of data
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment promoting open communication and teamwork.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best.

Technical Skills

Skills Requirements:

• Proficiency in SQL programming for relational databases such as Postgresql.
• Understanding of relational database concepts such as ACID properties transactions and normalization.
• Familiarity with database design and optimization techniques such as indexing partitioning and query optimization.
• Experience with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery performance tuning and security management.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Must understand the companys long-term vision and align with it.
• Should be able to identify problems generate effective solutions and troubleshoot issues that may arise while working on complex projects.
• Must Display Adaptability to changing circumstances new technology and shifting priorities.

Qualifications

• 11-12 years of work experience in relevant field
• or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
