The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the organizations credit policies managing customer credit risk ensuring timely collection of receivables and maintaining healthy cash flow while minimizing bad debts.
- Develop implement and monitor credit control policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and approve or reject credit applications.
- Set and manage credit limits in line with company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate recovery actions.
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding customer credit status.
- Prepare regular reports on receivables bad debts and credit risk exposure.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Liaise with external agencies legal advisors or collection agencies when required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (e.g. ACCA CPA) is an advantage
- Minimum 57 years of experience in credit control or finance preferably in hospitality or service industry
