We are seeking a Payroll Systems Tester for a 6-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start date.
This role will support the Payroll Delivery Lead in testing the payroll system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of payroll initiatives while also providing feedback on payroll best practices and compliance regulations. Additionally you will work with stakeholders to ensure data quality assurance maintain a delivery-focused approach and adapt to evolving program priorities.
Key accountabilities for this position include but not limited to:
- Assist the test lead in payroll system testing
- Provide specialist support (parallel pay support to manual transaction)
- Identify technical roadblocks and opportunities and suggest improvements
- Maximise automation processing
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll processing
- Providing support related to employee pay compensation benefits ACC etc
- Collaborate with stakeholders for data quality assurance.
- Maintain a delivery-focused approach
This is a 6-month fixed-term role (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility for additional hours when needed.
The salary range is $96800 - $119200 per annum depending on skills and experience.
He kōrero mōu About you
The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a large volume of transactions possess a keen eye for detail and have robust problem-solving skills in addition to having sound NZ Legislation knowledge and a relevant tertiary degree
- Demonstrated skills and experience in an end-to-end Payroll and/or Payroll System Testing role
- Experience in Payroll within a large complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand legislation and statutory requirements
- IRD & ACC knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience of working to tight deadlines within a high-pressure environment
- Experience in aspects of ERP systems (Workday/Apay would be advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to build and maintain strong internal & external relationships
- Ability to self-direct use initiative but equally work and contribute as a valued team member
- High attention to detail and data entry skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
