Job Summary
Job Goal: The Assistant Cheer Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of developing and managing a successful cheerleading includes assisting with practices teaching skills ensuring safety and fostering a positive team also involve game and competition preparation student athlete development and sometimes administrative tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists with practices and competition arena coaching duties
- Teach skills
- Ensures safety
- Fosters a positive team environment
- Practice and game preparation
- Planning/tactics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications preferred:
- Bachelors degree;
- Strong communication skills;
- Knowledge of MSSADA rules;
- Potential for coaching certification;
- Previous coaching and/ or cheering experience preferred
Reports to: TheAthletics Director and the Cheer Head Coach
