Accounting Officer Treasury & Investment Operations Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 533622)
The Role
The successful candidate will join the Treasury & Investment Operations Team with the following responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and investment operations including trade execution settlement and cash management;
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Handle KYC/AML procedures tax and compliance matters and account onboarding processes;
- Prepare monthly investment performance analysis and reports for management review;
- Develop long-term relationships with financial institutions and asset management firms;
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during audit engagements; and
- Support ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Qualities
- Degree holder in Accounting Finance or a related discipline;
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting finance or external audit;
- Solid knowledge of financial instruments (e.g. bonds stocks) and their accounting treatments;
- A team-oriented professional with a positive attitude and strong work ethic;
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment;
- Strong communication abilities and effective stakeholder management skills; and
- Experience with Oracle Financials is highly desirable.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totally up to 10% of basic salary.
