Senior Technical Manager in the Department of Microbiology School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 533676) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year or three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree or above with at least 10 years of work experience at a supervisory level preferably in tertiary education institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective administrative communication and organizational skills; and the ability to solve ad hoc problems with tight deadlines and perform multiple tasks under pressure.
The appointee will proactively manage and oversee all administrative financial and operational activities related to SKLEID the program and the P3 core facility. He/She will prepare various annual reports handle HR matters procurement and RPg student issues; coordinate cross-departmental meetings on laboratory safety; collaborate with the faculty and other institutions in organizing seminars and visits; supervise junior technical staff; provide teaching support for selected courses; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
