Commercial Director

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

Work Location: Hanoi Vietnam

The client is seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Director with a strong background in logistics supply chain and commercial management. The successful candidate will drive commercial growth lead warehouse and cargo terminal operations and contribute to advancing the client s role as a key regional gateway for multimodal logistics.

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing enterprise supported by major stakeholders in Vietnams port and logistics sector playing a vital role in the ongoing development of the Off-site Airport Cargo Terminal (OACT) and the integration of bonded and non-bonded warehousing within Vietnams customs and trade frameworks.

Important Note:

Candidate needs to be at the strategic level working with senior managers of airlines large transport corporations (e.g. global freight forwarders) in the world to develop commercial business first in the OACT (Offsite Air Cargo Terminal) then ICD (Inland Container Depot) Supply Chain City bonded warehouses regular warehouses.
Candidate also should have regional experience (ASEAN or ASIA) rather than just focusing on one country like Vietnam

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the commercial function managing key accounts sales marketing tendering and contracts in accordance with the Clients strategic objectives
Develop implement and optimize commercial strategies and business models that accelerate growth and strengthen the Clients competitive position in the regional logistics market
Oversee leasing management and customer development for bonded and non-bonded warehouse facilities supporting the Clients cargo terminal operations
Ensure seamless integration between bonded and non-bonded warehouses and the OACT optimizing cargo flow customs clearance and compliance with Vietnams customs regulations
Continually develop review and implement SOPs aligned with Vietnam Customs airport authorities and industry best practices for warehouse and OACT operations
Lead mentor and manage a high-performing commercial team establishing clear KPIs aligned with the Clients operational and financial targets
Prepare and manage commercial budgets forecasts and financial plans ensuring profitability and business sustainability
Build and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies airport operators freight forwarders and key customers within Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region
Drive cross-functional collaboration to create innovative value-added logistics solutions that differentiate the Client in the regional supply chain ecosystem
Monitor market developments competitive landscape and customer demands in Vietnam and ASEAN to identify new business opportunities and risks

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Logistics or related fields; advanced degree advantageous
Extensive commercial and operational experience in freight forwarding logistics bonded/non-bonded warehouse management and supply chain solutions in Vietnam or Southeast Asia
Demonstrated expertise in managing warehouse leasing and cargo terminal operations including strong familiarity with Vietnam Customs bonded warehouse regulations and airport cargo terminal protocols
Proven ability to develop and implement business models and SOPs that comply with Vietnamese legal frameworks and industry standards
Skilled negotiator with strong analytical leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Adaptable with a proactive mindset suitable for a high-growth environment driven by innovation and regional connectivity
