Description
Developmental Pathways (DP) is seeking an Associate Director of Human Resources to join our People Strategies team! The Associate Director of Human Resources (AD of HR) will strengthen the HR team capabilities ensure compliance across all employee matters and will partner with organizational leaders to cultivate a transparent high-performance culture. This role will serve as a strategic link between HR operations and organizational priorities and will transform data into actionable insights drive accountability and equip managers to confidently apply HR practices.
In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources the AD of HR will provide expert consultation on employment law compliance performance management team effectiveness and change management. This position will also oversee the employee lifecycle processes including onboarding offboarding and retention initiatives while collaborating with internal teams to design and implement related programs.
Managing a team of HR professionals this AD of HR will address staff-related issues policies and programs with discretion initiative and sound judgment. The role demands a high degree of independence influence and strategic thinking to deliver solutions that enhance the employee experience and overall organizational success.
This is a 40-hour per week hybrid position Monday-Thursday and includes the flexibility to work remotely as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person at our headquarters office in Aurora CO and/or at off-site locations.

Preferred
- Masters Degree in HR Management Strategic HR Organizational Development or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of supervision or management experience
- PHR certification
- Experience working in a non-profit for disability-related field
- Strongwritten and oral (including presentation) communication skills
- Ability to establish credibility and develop maintain and influence at all levels in the organization while building relationships and trust during times of change and transition
- Ability to work well independently and as part of ateam

- Manage the organizations performance management program including performance tool enhancements and development oversight including related training and communications
- Act as project manager for cross functional HR initiatives leading planning communication and execution efforts to ensure projects are completed on time within scope and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide relevant training and guidance to managers on delivering effective performance feedback and managing difficult conversations including conflict resolution change management low performance etc.
- Oversee the leave management of FMLA STD LTD FAMLI and other programs including advising leaders and staff
- Establish and ensure successful productive and collaborative partnerships across different departments leaders and their teams
- Serve as trusted advisor and coach to leaders and their teams providing guidance on employee relations performance management and leadership development
- Oversee the interactive accommodation process
- Track employment-related local state and federal regulatory requirements and manages implementation and updates to processes policies and systems
- Maintain employee handbook and its policies to reflect employment law updates and in alignment with internal requirements
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team focused on data integrity compliance and service excellence
- Establish clear accountabilities performance measures and professional development plans within the HR team; will also complete performance evaluations for assigned staff as well as actively identify opportunities for staff development through ongoing supervision and recurring one-on-ones
