Role : Zonal Manager Work Mode: Hybrid Location: Ikeja Lagos
Role Overview
Were looking for a leader who will act as the CEO of a zone responsible for leading strategy driving growth ensuring operational excellence and managing financial performance. You will oversee a team that includes an Assistant Zonal Manager and Zonal Operations Associates while ensuring the zone consistently meets performance quality and profitability goals. This is a high-impact role. Your decisions will directly influence brand expansion customer experience and vendor success across your zone. You will collaborate closely with other leaders and cross-functional teams translating company strategy into actionable initiatives at a local level.
Responsibilities:
Define the growth roadmap for your zone in alignment with overall company strategy and objectives.
Translate company-wide initiatives into zonal strategies adapted to local realities.
Make final decisions on strategy operations financials and risk management for your zone.
Oversee daily logistics deliveries and service quality across the zone.
Monitor and approve key performance metrics including number of orders active riders daily active users (new vs. retained) delivery times CSAT and number of active vendors.
Provide regular reports and actionable insights to HQ to influence company strategy.
Lead recruitment strategy performance reviews and escalations for all agents and driver coordinators.
Foster a high-performance culture motivating and energising your team.
Mentor coach and provide continuous development opportunities for your team members.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors resolving escalated issues.
Own the zonal P&L manage budgets allocate resources effectively and ensure profitable growth.
Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory and safety requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Assistant Zonal Manager delegating execution KPI tracking daily reporting onboarding training and operational oversight.
Identify and mitigate operational risks bottlenecks and vendor or service challenges proactively.
Drive operational efficiency and implement best practices to improve performance and scalability in the zone.
Requirements
Have 5 years management experience in E-commerce Mobility Logistics Fintech Banking or other marketplace-driven industries.
Hold a Masters degree MBA or equivalent degree in STEM (required).
Have experience across at least two of the industries listed above.
Are comfortable thinking on your feet making decisions in ambiguity and solving complex operational problems.
Are a results-driven leader with a founders mindset.
Can balance big-picture strategy with operational execution.
Communicate effectively to inspire align and energise teams.
Are commercially minded data-driven and able to measure success through KPIs.
Are skilled at influencing stakeholders across different functions including vendors and riders.
