Monitor and track the companys environmental social economic and governance (ESG) impacts to identify and mitigate potential risk exposures.
Analyze emerging ESG issues and trends recommending actionable plans to leadership and operational teams.
2. Sustainability Compliance & Organizational Support
Support organizational change initiatives to meet sustainability standards and operational requirements.
Assist management with sustainability integration programs that improve overall ESG performance.
3. Community Engagement & Incident Resolution
Investigate ESG-related incidents or complaints from host communities.
Liaise with relevant internal functions to ensure timely resolution and maintain positive community relations.
4. Energy & Resource Efficiency Support
Support plants and operational sites in implementing cost-effective energy and water management practices.
Contribute to initiatives that enhance energy security independence and long-term sustainability.
5. Energy Economics & Alternative Energy Evaluation
Assess investment requirements and costs associated with identifying developing and deploying alternative energy sources.
Analyze energy demand trends considering environmental factors alternative fuel substitution and impacts on the future energy supply mix.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with operations community relations compliance and leadership teams to promote ESG best practices and ensure integrated approaches to sustainability.
7. Administrative & Support Duties
Prepare reports documentation and analyses as required to support ESG audits reviews and management reporting.
Carry out additional tasks assigned by superiors aligned with expertise and departmental needs.
Bsc in Environmental or related field
Minimum of 4 years experience in Sustainability Environmental Science Energy Efficiency Palm Plantation or ESG consulting.
Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI IFC Performance Standards GHG Protocol CDP TCFD etc.
Strong carbon accounting skills and emissions tracking capability.
Experience in community relations and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of RSPO standards and sustainability practices in palm plantations (advantageous).
Very strong computer skills (Excel PowerPoint Word).
Additional sustainability training certifications or related experience is an added advantage
