About the Role
On behalf of our client - a newly established FDI company specializing in renewable energy development across solar battery storage and distributed energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers - we are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead business expansion efforts in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
Backed by regional investors this business is well-funded and embarking on an ambitious journey to develop and build over 150 MW of clean energy projects in the next three years.
This role is important in driving the companys hyper-growth journey taking ownership of B2B sales origination deal closure and strategic client development. You will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership to shape the companys sales strategy strengthen customer partnerships and accelerate Vietnams clean energy transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the companys sales and growth strategy.
Identify and engage corporate and industrial customers across South and Central Vietnam.
Lead end-to-end sales activities from origination and proposal to deal closure.
Conduct site visits and assessments in collaboration with the projects and engineering teams.
Client Management & Proposal Development
Prepare and present commercial proposals and sales presentations with the support of engineering and commercial team members.
Assist in EPC bid management offer preparation and contract finalization.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings workshops and follow-ups.
Market Analysis & Reporting
Analyze market trends monitor competitor activities and identify new opportunities for growth.
Provide valuable market feedback and recommend improvements to products and sales strategies.
Deliver regular pipeline and performance reports to senior management.
Manage internal reporting and maintain structured documentation of client interactions.
Travel & Execution
Job Requirements
Must-have:
8 years of professional experience including 4 years in B2B sales or business development within the energy sector (preferably solar).
Solid understanding of commercial and financial principles; able to interpret and work with solar financial models.
Fluent in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken).
Proven track record in deal origination and closing large-scale B2B projects.
Strong presentation proposal preparation and MS Office skills.
Existing business network and client connections in Vietnam.
Highly organized with strong analytical and reporting abilities.
Eagerness to learn and strengthen knowledge in technical and financial aspects of the business.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with an Asia-based EPC or solar company.
Basic knowledge of PVSyst Helioscope Google SketchUp or Adobe Acrobat.
Familiarity with Vietnams solar policies MOIT and EVN.
Understanding of local licensing regulatory processes and solar EPC/PPA contracts.
Basic grasp of solar system design and feasibility requirements.
