Position Description:
The primary function of this position is to help ensure efficient operation and administration of the Special Education and Curriculum offices as well as provide clerical and other related tasks. Areas of responsibility include: answering the telephone providing assistance to multiple staff and parents providing confidential clerical assistance for the Curriculum & Special Education Directors day-to-day operational tasks of office management Skyward data entry & management Illuminate data entry & management maintain State and Federal Program documentation additional duties as requested by District Administration.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma Associates Degree preferred
- Strong public relations organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Google Drive/Docs/Sheets Skyward (or relevant student database system) Illuminate and BiTech
- Experience with Skyward (Pupil Accounting System) preferred
- Strong clerical and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and follow established practices
- Regular and consistent attendance
Competencies to Successfully Perform Essential Functions:
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff parents students and community members.
Responsibilities for the following:
- Answering phone calls daily from staff parents other secretaries and administration
- Providing assistance to multiple students staff and parents in the office each day
- Day-to-day operational tasks of office management
Good organizational skills in order to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under time deadlines.
Responsibilities for the following:
- General office operation type letters memos and reports
- Maintain State and Federal Programs documentation
- Inventory and ordering of office supplies process building requisitions through Bi-Tech System
- Attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy in completing tasks. Must be able to maintain confidential information related to student records and other confidential material.
Responsibilities for the following:
- Pupil Accounting Fall & Supplemental Count
- Student enrollment and registration processing through Skyward System
- Illuminate data entry and management
- Medicaid Processing
- Curriculum revisions and updates
- Ability to work independently and follow established practices make independent decisions as necessary and appropriate and on occasion refer some questions to the Principal.
- Ability to establish working relationships and delegate work to others and/or substitute secretaries.
- Working relationships include all teaching and administrative personnel as well as students parents and community members.
