Director of Emergency Department (Permanent Role) Location: Kansas City MO 64101
Shift: 12 hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department.
- Oversee the daily functions and long-term planning of the ED ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership physicians and administrative staff to maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and drive performance metrics including patient flow patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve department efficiency.
- Ensure staff competency retention and development through coaching and mentoring.
- Manage budget staffing levels and resource allocation effectively.
- Foster a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years RECENT experience as a Director of Emergency Department in an acute care setting.
- May consider a strong ED Manager if responsibilities align with Director-level duties and strong performance metrics are evident.
- Proven leadership experience with measurable success in improving ED performance and patient outcomes.
- Bachelors Degree or other approved education plan (Required)
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
