Senior Student Affairs Manager ()
The Office of Student Affairs invites applications for the post of Senior Student Affairs Manager of the Campus Life and Amenities Unit (CLA). This unit is dedicated to fostering a vibrant campus community and enhancing students sense of belonging through student engagement supportive services and provision of infrastructure. The team oversees registered student bodies administers funding for student-led activities manages over 30 student amenities two Learning Commons and a Student Welfare Shop as well as facilitates students participation in U-wide engagement. We are currently seeking an experienced dynamic student-centered and highly motivated individual that plays a crucial role in creating a vibrant and supportive environment for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop review and implement the rules regulations guidelines and procedures governing student-led activities;
- Manage and oversee financial planning budgeting personnel matters maintenance and renovation work requests cost recovery calculations and digital transformation initiatives for the team;
- Supervise the support guidance and engagement services of student bodies and student leaders;
- Manage and plan for the student amenities allocation usage upgrade and maintenance;
- Strategic planning and development for the Student Welfare Shop;
- Assist in handling ofspecial student incidents complaints and student disciplinary matters in accordance with University policies and procedures;
- Provide high-level administrative support to the team head including staff supervision preparation of papers and reports and data compilation; and
- Represent the office at university-wide committees working groups and task forces.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree with at least 10 years relevant work experience in student affairs services preferably in the tertiary education field;
- Excellent communication interpersonal analytical and organisational skills; excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Willingness to shoulder responsibilities and take up challenges;
- Sound computer knowledge mature personality and ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines are required;
- Preference will be given to candidates who have a strong passion for working with students; and
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Student Affairs Manager.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ofthree -appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
