Senior Data Governance Technical Lead Asia Data Office
We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Technical Lead to provide deep technical leadership and ensure robust implementation of ADOs data governance frameworks. This role is critical in enabling trusted secure and high-quality data across the organization to support business innovation and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will participate in strategic initiatives that strengthen data governance capabilities across regional and global operations.
As part of ADO you will have the opportunity to:
Lead technical design and delivery of enterprise-grade data governance frameworks that enable secure and compliant data usage.
Collaborate with solution architects engineering teams and business stakeholders to embed governance into enterprise systems.
Drive innovation and best practice adoption to continuously improve governance efficiency resilience and scalability.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Technical Framework Design and Evolution
Build and continuously enhance technical frameworks for data governance including data ownership metadata management data sharing data access control data lineage data quality and risk management.
Ensure frameworks are scalable resilient and aligned with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
2. Solution Architecture and Technical Delivery
Collaborate closely with solution architects and technical teams to design and implement governance solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems.
Oversee technical delivery troubleshoot complex issues and ensure successful deployment of governance tools and platforms.
3. Compliance Security and Risk Management
Embed security and compliance requirements into governance solutions ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks related to data governance including data privacy and ethical considerations.
4. Innovation and Best Practice Adoption
Keep frameworks and solutions evolving by adopting industry best practices emerging technologies and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and resilience.
Explore advanced techniques such as metadata-driven automation AI-assisted data quality monitoring and cloud-native governance solutions.
5. Technical Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the technical authority for data governance guiding engineering teams and business stakeholders on governance-related technical decisions.
Provide thought leadership on new technologies and trends to strengthen ADOs data governance capabilities.
Contribute to the Data Governance Community of Practice by sharing best practices reusable assets and technical insights across regions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Management Information Systems or related field.
10 years in data engineering or data governance with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade data governance frameworks and solutions.
Strong knowledge of metadata management data lineage data quality frameworks and governance tools (e.g. Collibra Informatica Alation).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) and data security standards.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR PDPA) and compliance frameworks.
Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder engagement skills
