Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Data Analyst)

Full-time Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Data Analyst) in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533590) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Qualifications:

• A Masters degree in Medicine Public Health Epidemiology Biostatistics Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
• Evidence of academic excellence in undergraduate / postgraduate studies.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS).
• Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in programming (e.g. R/SAS/STATA).
• Detail-oriented self-motivated and capable of multitasking.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will be responsible for research projects in health and health services pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases using population-based cohorts in Hong Kong and overseas. Key tasks include:

• Conducting literature reviews.
• Cleaning and analyzing data.
• Assisting in the preparation of academic publications and reports for funded projects.
• Performing other tasks as required by the team.
