Associate Director- Urban Planning

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Associate - Urban Designer to join our team in Riyadh Saudi this role you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of urban environments through innovative and sustainable design solutions.

• Lead and contribute to the development of comprehensive urban design projects from concept to implementation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create visionary master plans and urban regeneration strategies
• Conduct site analysis and research to inform design decisions and ensure context-sensitive solutions
• Develop detailed design guidelines and standards for urban development projects
• Create compelling visual presentations including 2D and 3D renderings to communicate design concepts effectively
• Manage project timelines budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery of urban design projects
• Engage with stakeholders including government officials developers and community members to gather input and present design proposals
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in urban design sustainability and smart city technologies
• Mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

Qualifications :

• Masters degree in Urban Design Urban Planning or Architecture
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban design or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite and GIS software
• Strong 3D modeling and visualization skills
• Excellent knowledge of urban planning and design principles with a focus on sustainable and smart city concepts
• Experience working on large-scale urban development projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Professional certification in urban design or planning (e.g. AICP) is preferred
• Experience with public space design and transportation planning
• Familiarity with local urban development regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia is a plus
• Willingness to travel and work on projects throughout the region
