Job Description

The Reserve is seeking to hire one or two entry-level candidates for the position of Analyst (Mexico Forestry) Program Operations. Each analyst is responsible for:

  • Supporting the administration and operation of a growing number of emission reduction and removal projects under the Reserves Mexico Forestry Protocol.
  • Conducting first-level reviews of carbon project submittal and verification documentation.
  • Supporting the provision of technical and administrative guidance to account holders and other users of the Mexico Forestry Protocol.
  • Assisting in the delivery and provision of protocol trainings to project developers and verifiers.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Substantive familiarity with carbon markets greenhouse gas crediting or forestry carbon accounting.
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to write clearly concisely and effectively.
  • Legal right to work in Mexico.
  • Legal residence in Mexico.
  • Fluency in Spanish. Advanced competence in English.

Preferable:

  • Professional work experience.
  • A graduate or professional degree.

Working Conditions

This position is based in Mexico. The ongoing legal right to work in Mexico and ongoing legal and physical residence in Mexico are conditions for holding this position. Although many duties of the position may be performed virtually certain duties must be performed in person (e.g. site visits events retreats).
