. This on-site contract position is ideal for a Mid-Senior level practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing quality healthcare services to our community.
As a Locum NP in Urgent Care you will play a crucial role in delivering immediate care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to assess diagnose and treat patients efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in an urgent care setting
- Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic health issues
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education and counseling on health management
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Participate in continuous professional development and training
Requirements
- Masters degree in Nursing or a related field
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferably in urgent care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8a-6p
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 20-40 per day
Patient Population: All ages
Must be able to work independently
1 procedure room 1 pediatric room 2 isolation rooms and 2 exam rooms
Support Staff: RNs and CMAs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
