Our firm is seeking an accomplished Intellectual Property (Patent) Transactions Attorney with significant experience leading and closing complex IP transactions. This is a senior-level opportunity for a proven attorney with a strong record in patent acquisition licensing and patent litigation funding-and the ability to advise clients on the strategic and structural aspects of high-value intellectual property deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage high-value patent and IP transactions including acquisitions divestitures licensing and joint ventures.
• Advise clients on patent litigation funding corporate structuring and IP-driven investments.
• Draft and negotiate complex IP-related agreements ensuring alignment with business and strategic goals.
• Oversee due diligence in connection with mergers acquisitions and other corporate transactions involving intellectual property assets.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to address the intersection of IP finance and corporate law.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients offering innovative and practical legal solutions to complex IP challenges.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to or eligibility for prompt admission to the North Carolina Bar is preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in intellectual property transactions with demonstrated leadership in complex deals.
• Proven expertise in patent acquisition licensing and related financial structures.
• Strong negotiation drafting and client management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach to client service and team leadership.
