Summary: The EMP/YMP Program Generalist will focus on the serving eligible clients with career & education case management services in the RYM Program. This role will serve clients between the ages of 15-24 years building client marketable skills and collaborate closely with the employment team. The EMP/YMP Generalist will network with local colleges employers and workforce development programs too establish career focused programming with RYMP participants.
Position Responsibilities:
*Able to work with refugee youth ages of 15-24 to provide Career and Education case management.
*Conduct orientation client enrollment and verify client eligibility.
*Provide career support to clients needing guidance in job placement such as: application assistance interview preparation and career matching that relates to educational interests internships or apprenticeships.
*Will use provided data bases and other tracking tools to document services and case management inputs.
*Work closely with in-house programs to recruit referred clients and develop case management plans
Perform additional supportive services and make referrals to community partners for clients when necessary.
Perform regular maintenance of client case files.
Outreach and presentation to community partner employers universities and workforce centers for the purpose of developing career placement partnerships for RYMP clients.
Conduct client recruitment through home visits or other outreach efforts and follow procedures for enrolling youth into the Refugee Youth Mentoring Program.
Assist the coordinator to organize social and civic engagement events for mentors and youth.
Assist the coordinator to organize outreach events including the marketing and planning to promote the YMP and recruit potential mentors.
Participate in webinars and other assigned trainings.
Must be sensitive to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self others.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
