The position is based at our headquarters in Northbrook IL reporting to the Sr. HR Manager for the Corporate team.
Overall Purpose:
The Human Resource Generalist is a hands-on position that will play a critical role in driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives fostering a positive employee experience and supporting organizational growth.
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers aligning HR strategies with business priorities.
- Partner with leaders to provide guidance in performance management employee engagement and employee relations.
- Manage HR and leave programs including FMLA ADA STD and LTD.
- Support leaders throughout the recruitment process to attract and hire top talent.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll responsibilities ensuring accuracy compliance and timely approval of payroll data.
- Serve as the main point of contact for enterprise-wide vendors for facilities and background checks.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for routine HR initiatives such as AAP filing unemployment requests and corporate communications.
- Assist in planning and executing engagement opportunities and cultural initiatives including corporate wide events like our town halls.
Project Improvement Opportunities:
- Utilize data such as employee surveys to assist leaders in developing engagement strategies in support of maintaining or elevating IDEXs position as an employer of choice
- Lead process improvement projects and change management initiatives related to onboarding offboarding HR operating rhythms (goal setting mid-year reviews year-end evaluations) and other key HR processes.
HR Metrics Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee HRIS data for the corporate team to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports metrics and surveys as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field.
- 3 years of HR experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies procedures and best practices.
- Comfortable with a hybrid onsite/virtual role with the expectation that you are in the office 3x per week.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $69200.00 - $103800.00 depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
