The Human Resources Generalist will act as the frontline HR representative for all employees at BCRTA. The HR Generalist willbe responsible forproviding applicants and employees with excellent customer service and problem resolution while alwaysmaintainingstrict confidentiality of information. Duties include but are not limited to communication with all employeesregardingbenefits compensation handbook compliance attendance FMLA etc. filing tracking monthly HR statistics compliance with EEO requirements accident file audits new hire onboarding and drug and alcohol program compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Effectivelymaintainssecures and filesconfidential records.
Maintainsanunderstanding of BCRTA policies and procedures.
Distributesthe employee handbook as needed.
Collects analyzes updates and distributes all HR records as needed including but not limited topositiondescriptions evaluation documentsjob postingsand governmental forms.
Manages all processes related to unemployment compensation Workers Compensationdisabilityand FMLA
Assistwiththe hiring onboarding and orientationprocess.
Attends outside training as needed.
RepresentsBCRTA at conferences hiring events community involvement events and any other business organization that is associated with BCRTA as needed.
Communicates effectively with BCRTA personnel and contract partners to ensureefficientpersonnel functionsanddistribute required information.
Prioritizescommunications and responses to provide superior customer service.
Responsible for tracking monthly HR statistics compliance with EEOC accident file auditsnew hire onboardingand the drug and alcohol program compliance.
Maintainscomposure and actsthoughtfully underpressure.
Promotes a positive public image of BCRTA and exceeds customer expectations.
Requeststime off as required by BCRTA policy.
Assistsmanagement with special projects.
Assistsin creatingandmaintainingSOPs and workflows for all HR practices.

Associates degree with four years of HR experience or a bachelors degree and two years of HR focusinHR business sociology or psychology preferred.
